Check out early and transfer to Ashgabat International Airport for the morning domestic flight to Turkmenbashi.

Turkmenbashi and Caspian Coast Highlights
Enjoy a short orientation tour of Turkmenbashi, the main port city on Turkmenistan’s Caspian coast.
See examples of pre-revolutionary architecture built from local Caspian limestone, visit the distinctive 1895 Moorish-style railway station and enjoy views of the Caspian Sea.

Drive Towards Yangykala
Leave Turkmenbashi and travel east through the desert towards the canyon region.
Optional Gozli Ata Stop

The site lies among striking white and pink cliff formations and can be included depending on the available time.
Yangykala Canyon
Continue the off-road journey to Yangykala Canyon, approximately 160 km from Turkmenbashi.
Explore the vast canyon plateau and its dramatic layers of red and pink limestone, shaped from the ancient floor of the Tethys Ocean.
Drive to the Balkan Region
After visiting the canyon, continue south towards your hotel in the Balkan region.
The journey takes approximately 2–2.5 hours.

Morning Departure

Nokhur Mountain Village

Visit the unusual local cemetery decorated with ibex horns, meet local residents and experience the atmosphere of the village.

Kow Ata Underground Lake
Continue down from the mountains towards Kow Ata Underground Lake.
The drive takes approximately 1 hour.
Descend into the limestone cave and enjoy the opportunity to swim in the naturally warm, mineral-rich thermal waters, which remain at approximately 35°C throughout the year.
Return to Ashgabat
After Kow Ata, continue towards Ashgabat.
The final drive covers approximately 100 km and takes around 1.5 hours.
