From there, travel north through the Karakum Desert along historic trade routes to the impressive Dayahatyn Caravanserai, one of the finest surviving examples of medieval caravan architecture in the region.
Explore its elegant brickwork, monumental arches, courtyard layout and preserved chambers that once welcomed merchants, scholars and travellers moving between Amul and Khorezm.
After a traditional regional lunch, return directly to the Farap Border and continue back towards Bukhara.

After crossing from Uzbekistan, complete passport and migration formalities at the Farap Border.
Meet our local guide inside the main hall of the Turkmen border terminal.
During the entry process, border officers will contact our team, and your guide will recognise you using the photograph provided in advance.
Drive to Dayahatyn Caravanserai
Leave the border area and travel north towards Dayahatyn Caravanserai.
The distance is approximately 210 km, with a driving time of around 3 hours.
The route passes through remote desert landscapes and follows historic trade corridors once used by Silk Road caravans.
Some sections include uneven asphalt and rough off-road terrain, adding an authentic desert experience to the journey.
Lunch En Route
Enjoy a traditional lunch featuring regional Turkmen cuisine at a local roadside restaurant along the route.
